Yar, the conversation did go better than I had hoped. He was receptive, and seemed to realize he'd let things slide until I was in a state. Thus far we've been able to keep our "public" areas of the house (living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom) much, much cleaner than we have in the past year. Or rather, we'd clean them, let them get dirty again, and have to do another hour of cleaning, but we've actually been keeping up on it, so that's a positive sign. :)
