Date: 2009-12-03 10:38 pm (UTC)I really did enjoy this fic! You seemed to really grasp the characters, and even expanded on them quite well. I loved how you gave everyone a little extra for their powers and came up with such fitting super hero names; it really went along with the style of the movie. You made the ending a little darker than the movie, though, which I think was perfect; they'd all grown up a little, and the death and hard choices surrounding being a hero needed to be highlighted just the way you did it. I laughed out loud several times, especially with Zach's lines and Warren's banter. As far as how it was written, this is a mile ahead of most other Sky High fanfiction. Proper punctuation, snappy dialogue, suspenseful action scenes, poignant diction, it was all there!
The single thing I disliked was Monica. Maybe it was because I kept envisioning her as Monica Geller from Friends, but I thought she was written a little inconsistently and Warren fell into liking her a little too easily. Of course, she did advance the plot and characterization, so I have to say, she is one of the best OC characters not just in the entire fandom, but in *most* of fandom. (Also, I a little bit of a Warren/Freeze Girl fan, so I admit a teeny amount of bias.)
Overall, I had a great time reading this fic, and hope you keep it on the internet so I can reread it in years to come!
