I absolutely love the relationship you have between them here, Sylar being a caring, parental figure almost against his will and Luke trying to be strong even though he's obviously in so much pain. His hopeful little "I'm gonna fly?" was just... guh! So touching! ♥
You worked the bird terminology/biology into this so fluidly and I think it's one of the things that made this excel as wing!fic. There was no handwaving over how it happened, and that made it all the more believable. The scene where Luke's wings break free was such a triumphant moment for both of them that I was probably being really dorky and cheering them on out loud. /is superlame *blush*
