I know for certain you can donate, if done by a certified parlor, if it was done in Iowa or Wisconsin. Since the blood bank I'm talking about is in Iowa, those were the only two states us telerecruiters had to worry about. For some reason, Illinois hadn't gotten their act together (circa 2005-2006) to certify their tattoo parlors, and thusly people that had been inked in Illinois still had to wait that usual one year at that period in time.

So... long story short, call your blood bank and double-check their policy. It may be done by state.

Yeah, my dad's O+ too, which is why he donated so much. I'm A+, which for some reason is the most common blood type in my area.
