For those of you that haven't seen 3x25 "Invisible Thread" yet, don't look below the LJ-cut.

For those of you that have seen "Invisible Thread," by now, you know what has to be done. We must write... How It Should Have Gone!



To say I was horribly disappointed by the deaths of Sylar and Nathan is an understatement. This was fuckery of the highest degree, and it must be addressed immediately!

To all authors, I beg of you to write how it should have gone. What if Peter and Claire hadn't left? What if Noah had remembered about Claire's healing blood? What if Peter came in to find Nathan dead? What if Parkman refused to mind-rape Sylar? Make the ending happy, make the ending sad, but we must write something better than the gut-wrenching horribleness of Sylar!Nathan.

I too will be writing my version of the ending, but I thought we needed a collection place (or an excuse) for more people to get in on the action. Post your "Shoulds" in the comments, or post the links to your LJs where your "Shoulds" reside.

We all need as many "Shoulds" as possible to wipe the ending out of our brains! Write, my pretties, write for our lives and our sanity!

I am completely with you on the whole Sylar/Nathan/Claire thing...cuz he kinda proposes to her in the finale and now with him being Nathan if they show any sexual feelings towards Claire that would be TOTALLY wrong cuz he's her father... regardless of whether its not really him... (i AM a claithan AU shipper though :P kinda hard not to be after Into Asylum :P)
one of the biggest hints for Peter will be if he ever tries to take Sylar!Nathan's power... i mean Sylar cant fly can he? :S so technically...it'll be obvious. :/
it WAS ooc for parkman but I do understand Angela's hurt...she lost her son after all and though it mustve been painful accepting the killer who had murdered her son as her well...SON...i think she grabbed what she got... poor woman.
And yes... i'll miss NAthan too...SO much.
Adrian actually commented on his youtube blog saying there's going to be a "baattle" between sylar and nathan in the next volume... lets see what happens.

My theory on a battle between Nathan and Sylar is this: Sylar hates himself. Sylar has a tendency to reinvent himself at the drop of a hat. He was so upset when he was shapeshifting into someone he thought of as a nobody - he was afraid of losing himself to Agent Nonentity. But, when the idea occurred to him to take over being *Nathan* - well, he was excited, to say the least. The battle may very well be Sylar coming to terms with whether he would rather be Sylar - and all the self loathing that comes with that, or commit to being Nathan, who has a family, friends, and the respect of complete strangers, just by virtue of being who he is.
